The Nevada Rework is not only changing roads and city scenery in American Truck Simulator. SCS Software is also rebuilding the places where players actually pick up and deliver cargo, with new custom depots and refreshed company branding planned across several Nevada locations.
That gives the project a different kind of impact because better scenery alone does not change how freight jobs feel. Players who enjoy expanding driving games through community content such as BeamNG Mods will know how much a new map, location, or vehicle can change a familiar experience, and ATS is applying a similar idea here through official depot and industry updates.

Elko gets more local industry detail
Elko is one of the clearest examples. The city has strong links to mining and farming, and the rework is using those industries as part of its identity rather than relying only on generic delivery locations.
SCS says new custom depots are being designed specifically for the area. That should make jobs in and around Elko feel more connected to northeastern Nevada, especially when the surrounding map already reflects the wide landscapes and mountain scenery associated with the region.
Freight corridors matter in Winnemucca
Winnemucca has a different role because its position along a major east-west transport corridor makes it a natural stop for freight moving across northern Nevada. The city also sits close to several large industries found throughout this part of the state, giving SCS plenty of material to work with when rebuilding its delivery network.
The rework updates the city layout while keeping that transport role central. A freight-focused location works best when roads, industries, and depots all make sense together, so the job feels tied to the area instead of using a familiar prefab that could have been placed almost anywhere.

More than new scenery
Across the Nevada Rework, SCS is adding multiple custom depots, refreshing some company branding, and introducing smaller details intended to make individual cities easier to tell apart. These changes should be especially noticeable during repeat visits, since depots are places players regularly enter, maneuver around, and leave with cargo.
The same idea applies to branding. Updating company identities helps rebuilt areas feel less tied to older versions of the map, particularly when the surrounding roads and scenery have already been replaced with newer assets.

A stronger freight identity for Nevada
The most useful part of the depot work is that it gives the Nevada Rework a gameplay angle beyond visual modernization. Reno and Carson City may attract attention because of their urban rebuilds, while locations such as Elko and Winnemucca can stand out through the industries and freight routes they support.
That distinction matters in American Truck Simulator because players may visit the same city many times over the course of a career. Custom depots, regional industries, and refreshed delivery environments can make those repeated jobs feel more varied without requiring a completely new freight system.
