Since mods are created by the community and not by the game developers, they are not officially part of the game. Finding a specific mod requires checking community websites, mod repositories, and forums.
Version Compatibility: Mods for American Truck Simulator are highly dependent on the game’s version. A mod made for version 1.55 may not work correctly with a newer version like 1.56, and vice versa. Always check that the mod you download is compatible with your game version.
Installation: Mods are usually downloaded as a file (often a .zip or .scs file) that needs to be placed in the game’s “mod” folder. Once it’s there, you’ll need to activate it from the Mod Manager within the game.
Search Terms: When searching, use terms like “Big Tex trailer mod ATS 1.55,” “ATS 1.55 trailer mods,” or similar phrases. This will narrow your results to the specific game and version you’re looking for.
